Winchester as a city is extremely beautiful – especially during winter. A market is held every Tuesday and Thursday for the locals to buy fresh produce, and the tourists to buy souvenirs and bespoke goods. Being a student, I can recommend many fantastic cocktail bars and restaurants in the area, including ‘Incognito’ – a themed cocktail bar, and ‘Dim T’ – an Asian restaurant on the High Street.
I recommend finding a house in the southern district, it’s much quieter and more pleasant than the rest. If you ever want a meal out, I recommend going to Tom’s Deli, a small Italian restaurant on the main street. For a relaxed walk, why not go to Abbey Gardens, it’s a very tranquil and calm place among the rest of the city.
