For someone moving to Pottstown, it is an extremely exciting city. We have numerous restaurants and bars to patronize. The community college offers a wide variety of majors to study. Our police department is professional and delivers safe protection to all citizens of our community. I recommend visiting our city if you get the opportunity.

Sadly, Pottstown resides in a depressed region of the state. Although the proximity to Philadelphia is a positive, congested roadways, constant construction, and a lack of industry has driven this once thriving community to economic ruin. Now, fraught corruption and dishonestly, the local government has created policies to drive the remaining business from this community. Instead of focusing on recovery, the municipality has focused on cheap, federally subsidized, housing and retail businesses. For the town that built the Golden Gate Bridge, this is an unfortunate change of direction.
