It is one the major cities in the Republic of South Africa and the seat of the national Parliament. One of the tourism features of the city is the iconic Table Mountain. There are three official languages used in Cape Town: Afrikaans, English and Xhosa.

Cape Town is the Mother City of South Africa. Two famous landmarks that we are know for is Table Mountain and Robben Island – this is were Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in exile, before being released to become an International Icon for peace and liberation. Our city is successfully run by the Opposition Party, the Democratic Alliance.

Cape Town is one of three South African capital cities, and lies just southeast of the southernmost tip of Africa. This legislative capital is an ever-growing social and professional hub based at the foot of the Table Mountain. Tap water is drinkable, but be mindful of your possessions – these are two useful tips! The country as a whole is deeply rooted in a complex cultural and political history – a history which can be understood through the numerous museums and monuments hosted by the city. Cape Town, at its core, teaches one not only from whence they came, but also to where they can go.

Cape Town is a place of diverse cultures and different languages. It is in the one hand an artsy place where the people work at their on pace and are relaxed and unruffled. On the other it is a hub of business activity too. Then you have the political arena where the people are very aware and voice their opinions through many avenues. There is also the mountain, Table Mountain, in all its glory standing proud for all to see her. The beautiful beaches and meandering drives along the shoreline, with little stops along the way where locals and foreigners alike sell trinkets and souvenirs. Find a little village and enjoy the delicious local cuisine before turning back or finding a bed and breakfast nestled on a wine farm. The hospitality, food and drink will never be forgotten. Cape Town will always be a memory you long to return too.

Cape Town is one of the most liberal and culture cities in Southern Africa. With Table Mountain on the on side and the ocean and harbour on the other, it stands at the epicentre of the tourism industry. Employment in Cape Town is very favourable for those working in the Hospitality and Tourism Industries. Unfortunately accommodation is very expensive and hard to come by. All factors considered, an amazing place to stay!

Cape Town is one of South Africa’s most historically important cities. It was here, in the Mother City, where the first European colonists set foot in South Africa—which also marked the beginning of the South African slave trade. It was home to perhaps the world’s most famous political prisoner—Nelson Mandela—who was held on the tiny Robben Island in Table Bay. Here are a few of the landmark historical moments that make Cape Town the place it is today.
