Long Island City has shown expansive growth over the last several years largely due to the effects of gentrification. Most of the city is populated by sprawling buildings of sky rises and luxury condos, but it only takes a few blocks out to discover the city’s original charms like the hole in the wall diners of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Someone moving to Long Island City should take care in researching which neighborhood they could possibly reside. Otherwise, the area that I specifically live in has many high-rise apartments in the vicinity, and plenty of cafe and restaurant options just a few blocks away. There are also many other conveniences nearby, like a grocery and pharmacy, and a well-kept subway station.
