College town in the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. Fun and a little funky is the best way to describe it.
Denton, Texas, is a college town. The population largely consists of young adults and young professionals. Secondly, it is a town with plenty of things to do; some popular spots include Fry Street and Denton Square.
Denton has the feel of a small town, but in reality is a very large city. It is the top of the “Golden Triangle” of North Texas and is home to two major colleges. UNT is right off the interstate and TWU is about 15 minutes into town. Denton is a wonderful mix of art, music and history!
Denton is beautifully quaint and home to two universities. It is a town that feels like Stars Hollow when special events take place; and yet, we rarely happen across anyone we know. As much as I love it here, the road construction seems incessant.
Denton is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. You will have the pleasure to interact with people from many countries and cultures due to UNT and TW. Most of you have probably heard of Dr. Phil, but I doubt that you know that he graduated from UNT. Denton is like a Mecca for women empowerment, it is the first university to offer a nursing program in Texas. Although the school months with being bustling with people, it gets surprisingly quiet during summer times.
