College town in the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. Fun and a little funky is the best way to describe it.
Denton is a magical city that boasts eclectic art and food scenes. It is a small community of locals who appreciate the culture and value of what would be considered a close knit town. There are always new places to discover despite its size and stature. Denton is the perfect blend of a small town with big city dreams and it’s own uniqueness.
Denton has the feel of a small town, but in reality is a very large city. It is the top of the “Golden Triangle” of North Texas and is home to two major colleges. UNT is right off the interstate and TWU is about 15 minutes into town. Denton is a wonderful mix of art, music and history!
Denton is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. You will have the pleasure to interact with people from many countries and cultures due to UNT and TW. Most of you have probably heard of Dr. Phil, but I doubt that you know that he graduated from UNT. Denton is like a Mecca for women empowerment, it is the first university to offer a nursing program in Texas. Although the school months with being bustling with people, it gets surprisingly quiet during summer times.
