Diversity and Racism in New Haven, Connecticut

New Haven, CT, my hometown, is known for its diversity nationwide. To be more specific, people from the farthest corners of the world descend on the city and the university. That being said, the city could be described as a microcosm of the world itself. It certainly does not have the wide range of cultures and cuisines that New York City has, but it approaches that level without a doubt. the city houses many academic museums. These museums are world-renowned for their collections of art and artifacts. I recommend this city highly to anyone looking for a quick and fun holiday.
The most relevant thing about my city that is not immediately apparent is that it is a stopover. A beautiful, antique, mysterious city, but a stopover. Aside from a few like myself, everyone is here for a moment in time. A vastly diverse place, where one comes, lives, explores, learns, grows, and then eventually leaves.
