Courtenay is in the Comox Valley and is on the east coast of Vancouver Island. To get there, drive along the scenic seaside route. The town is about an hour’s drive north of the Nanaimo ferry. Visitors from Vancouver can take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo or fly to nearby Comox.
Courtenay, British Columbia, is a small city on Vancouver Island. With its access to mountains, forests, and the Pacific Ocean, it’s a wonderful place for people who love the outdoors. However, it’s less great for those who like nightlife; there are some pubs, but many restaurants close by 7PM.
