Welland is a city in the Niagara Region of Southern Ontario. It has previously been considered a sleepy town, with many quiet years since the large steel factory shut down operations and jobs evaporated. However, with many Torontonians now leaving the GTA in search of more affordable housing, there has been a resurgence in business opportunities.
The City of Welland is known for the Welland Canal, which connects Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. The population has seen an increase in recent years, due to its proximity to the American border. Home to approximately 55,000 people, this city was once home to several steel mills. Welland is a great place to call home.
It’s a tranquil place located far from the big cities. The air is much fresher than the more populated areas. It’s close to Niagara Falls, so you can enjoy a wonderful view whenever you like. Most importantly, the people are really friendly. Welland is a good place.
