If you’re thinking of moving to Swansea, here are some tips to help: Would you prefer near the beach or closer to the city? West Swansea is perfect for being near the beaches of Gower, good schools, and nice restaurants in Mumbles. Property is pricey here, however. East Swansea gives better value for money, with excellent transport links onto the M4, and is nearer to many amenities such as out-of-town shopping and hospitals. Schools here, though, are not as good. A good compromise could be Gowerton or Gorseinon. Both offer excellent links to the M4 and Swansea city centre, yet are still close enough to the Gower to enjoy those beaches. Gorseinon itself has plenty of shopping, while still maintaining a village-like atmosphere. And if more retail therapy is needed, nearby Fforestfach has many larger stores.
