If moving to Providence I must warn you about the hills, specifically the hills near RISD. At first they are terrible on your legs, but eventually you get used to it! Other than that, I think it’s a lovely tiny city that you can easily walk and/or bike around!
Prior to moving to Providence, RI one should note that although there are areas of the city that are very easy to navigate and walk to, it would be very beneficial to have a car or bike as a main form of transportation. However, there are great public transportation options such as the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. Providence is very historical and offers a great variety of authentic, delicious foods and experiences. For example, there is an area known as Federal Hill which is sometimes referred to as Little Italy. This area consists of Italian restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops, and more!
