Lucena City is known for its delicacies such as Chami and smoked fish. In our city, you can also find malls like SM and Pacific Mall. Our city is the capital of Quezon Province that’s why many establishments can be found here. We are also known for holding festivals like Pasayahan sa Lucena and Niyogyugan Festival.

The lifestyle of the people in this city is simple. Far from the hassle and pollution. The simple way of living could be enjoyed by the people who would like to breathe from the life that they had in their city. You can still enjoy the fresh air and healthy foods.

The city is coconut city, as the term implies, it’s known for growing coconuts. It offers products that can be derived from that fruit. Its festival is also a coconut themed one. Lucena City may be a small city but one can find everything he/she would possibly need. Although it can be a bit claustrophobic for some, it is a good city overall. One can live a simple yet happy life here. There’s not much but there’s enough.

You must be an early-bird since the city is packed with students which cause a lot of traffic. Having patience is a great ideal as well since it’s a busy city they wouldn’t be accommodated and in the rural areas. And lastly being a religious person, you would enjoy here since the city is full of diverse religions.

As the capital of the province, Lucena is home of different government agencies, shopping centers, food establishments, and other businesses. To anyone who would like to visit our city, he/she should consider visiting our Festival during May which is the Pasayahan sa Lucena. This said festival showcases the delicacies and cultures of every municipality in Quezon province that attracts a lot of tourist around the world. Another consideration one can have is strolling our City Public Park which offers a relaxing scene of a green ground and clean garden where children can play and have fun. The city also is filled with good restaurants where delightful food can readily be tasted. And the city also has three huge malls where people can have their leisure and enjoy shopping.

We have a lot of schools to offer from private to public institutions if you are currently studying. Our main mode of transportation is jeepney. People here are kind and generous. Someone moving to Lucena City should know this is a very quite city. You should be ready to feel alone because not everyone is to be your friend. You should also know that finding work in this kind of city is very difficult and the expense of living here is too much.

This city is small and everyone knows each other. It might be a little overwhelming at first, but once you made it to the good side of the elders, you are good to go. The beach is just 45 minutes away and there is public transportation for you to get there. If you prefer to hike than go swimming, you are just 30 minutes away to a decent mountain. You can even ride a bike going there. You will probably lead a simple life when you get here, but that is not a bad thing, right?
