Cardiff, in spite of being a small city, contains everything you would want in a large city. Everything is within a perfectly walkable or bikeable distance, especially the famous bay area. Having said this, as a capital city, it also has superb transport links; the town centre is due to be pedestrianised as part of a restructuring of the city’s public transport.
Anyone visiting Cardiff should know as the capital of Wales, there is a strong sense of Welsh identity and culture. Cardiff is a popular tourist destination, but luckily is a lot cheaper and easy to navigate than other UK cities such as London and Manchester. Accommodation within walking distance of the city center may not be manageable on a budget but transport links are excellent wherever you are in the area.
Cardiff; home of Rugby, Welsh cakes and Doctor Who. A treasure trove of history and culture with Cardiff Castle in the City Centre. There’s fun to be had inland, in the various pubs and award winning parks, or by the shore, at the highly acclaimed Cardiff Bay. Take a walk along the various River trails, or hire a bike to explore the city. There is something for everyone.
