If you moved to my city of Baton Rouge, you would have to know flavor and sports. Baton Rouge has some of the best cajun food to offer besides the great city of New Orleans. You would also have to know that sports is super important to the people of my city. LSU stadium is in the heart of Baton Rouge, which is right inside the university’s campus. Tailgating, is an event you need to experience if you find yourself inside this city. Students and residents drinking and cooking food for hours before watching their favorite sports team, the LSU Tigers.

Baton Rouge is a bustling city mostly known for its college football scene. Over 40 percent of its population is college students between ages 17 and 22. Autumn, particularly, is a beautiful time to observe the liveliness of the city and participate in all the exciting football festivities while meeting new people.

Be aware that traffic can be very heavy at times, and the drivers bold. That is to say, Baton Rouge drivers are not afraid to capitalize on an opportunity if they see it, which often results in almost reckless driving. Another important thing to know about the city is that college sports play a huge role in the culture.

Baton Rouge is a large city. There is always an event going on to give residents something to do. Football season in this college town is always fun and exciting. There’s an electricity in the air that fuels the soul. As you would expect in the south, there are many restaurants serving the Cajun and old-south traditional dishes one would expect to find in a southern state.

Baton rouge is a slow paced city. Many of the people here related or know each other. There is not a lot of activity for younger people, however there is a lot of history that can be learned by visiting the local museums. For anyone who has an interest in the food industry there is a large variety of restaurants in the city.

Those who relocate to Baton Rouge should be warned of the city’s banality. Having resided in this city for four years, I can assert with confidence that it is an area deprived of culture and inhabited by those seeking college-oriented bars and sub-par restaurants. Had it not been for my residency at LSU, I certainly would not have moved here on my own accord. It is with great solemnity that I notify any future residents of the dangers of moving to a city littered with a surplus of alcohol and a lack of decent Greek restaurants.

Anyone who is currently moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, should know it is an extremely unique locale. Baton Rouge is the home of Louisiana State University and houses the current reigning national college football champions, the Fighting Tigers. From the food, to the sports, to the music and spirit of the city, Baton Rouge is a place like no other.

Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana. There is a lot to do here, including parades, festivals, and concerts. The LSU Tigers are a huge draw as well. And you can’t forget the delicious and spicy food! South Louisiana cajun culture is quite popular all around the country.
