Birmingham is the second city of the UK, London being the capital. If you are a resident of Birmingham you become known as a ‘Brummie’. A little known fact of Birmingham is that it has approximately 35 miles of canals, apparently more canals than Venice. The canals of Birmingham stretch all over the city and people can be seen boating, cycling and walking their dogs. The canals are beautiful.

Here, in birmingham, there is a lot of traffic so you must be aware of that before embarking on your driving journey. Usually, I check the GPS to analyse which route is the least busiest. Also, there are a lot of parked cars stationary on side roads meaning that know kids running through parked cars as it is a hazard.

Birmingham is often described as a concrete wasteland, but this is not the case. Surrounding the city are some delightful villages and a vast amount of countryside that is begging to be explored. There are many opportunities to take in the sights of Birmingham, with an excellent nightlife, and restaurants aplenty. There is a possibility of bias from myself but to attend a football game at the famous Villa Park is wonderful, and showcases the people of the city in a fantastic light.
