Marietta is a suburb of Atlanta, and can get quite busy. It is picturesque in it’s own way, though, with many delightful locations for any occasion. Where I live, specifically, is very near to a wonderful cluster of local businesses and shops that cater to any–and every–one. It is more or less a peaceful place, full of good people, and well within reach of bigger and better things, if that’s what you are wanting.

There is a lot of traffic in Atlanta. People should consider the time it takes to get to their job and finding a suitable place during their commute. The weather here is much hotter during spring/summer. During my move it’s important to find places that are in a good driving distance for grocery shopping.

Living in Marietta, Georgia, has been one of the best residential experiences of my life. In the suburbs of Atlanta, Marietta has everything you could want in a suburban experience: diversity of population, a multitude of aesthetic and natural pursuits (from beautiful parks to local theater to museums and cultural locales), and the convenience of nearby shopping and daily routine activities. Its proximity to Atlanta itself also provides all the benefits of a large metropolitan center; we have professional sports (basketball, baseball, soccer, and things like the WNBA and the semi-professional lacrosse team), and the long and varied cultural and historical activities that permeate cities of this size — like New York. In fact, when a friend asked me about the best part of living down here, I said, “It’s like living in New York — but there aren’t any New Yorkers here!” which drew a laugh, even if it isn’t entirely true.
