There are many things that one can do in Charlotte like going to sporting events, touring museums/Nascar racing shops and going to shopping malls. Some of the sporting events are Nascar races in May plus October. There are race shops that people can walk through for various race teams. In the area there are malls like Concord Mills and Carolina Place.

Someone moving to Charlotte should know it is a big city full of wealth and successful businesses and people. There is always something to do for singles and families. There are four malls, a raceway, a huge fun park, and many restaurants that serve delicious foods. I love living in Charlotte.

The area of Charlotte called South End is a nice place to walk if you are looking to spend a day hopping from food places to ice cream shops. Every month, South End holds an outdoor market that sheds light on multiple small businesses around the area. Charlotte just opened Optimist Hall which consists of multiple food venues of all different cultures as well as very modern and aesthetically trendy lounge and eating areas that make it a great place to hang out with friends or even just go to to get some work done for a little bit.

Charlotte is a fine city, comprised of a well-manicured uptown and several sprawling boroughs; but it lacks culture. Has largely destroyed its culture in the name of “revitalization” and overpriced housing, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. There are a few stalwart institutions still breathing with the history of the Queen City (Price’s Chicken Coop!); but they remain anachronisms in a city more concerned with newness than its past.
