Restaurant and Food Truck Options in San Miguel De Allende, Guanajuato

Be prepared to walk on cobblestone streets with lot of hills, or use taxis a lot. It’s a fairly easy town for an English speaking foreigner to assimilate to, as there are lots of English speakers and lots of first world services: grocery shopping, restaurants, doctors etc.
San Miguel de Allende is a colonial town in central Mexico populated by artists, and expatriates. While it’s helpful to speak Spanish, many of the locals speak English fairly well. If you’re planning on living in the city, you don’t need to own a car since most places are within walking distance. There is a rich arts scene, and a ubiquity of wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. The climate is relatively temperate, but pack a raincoat and some thick sweaters—the temperature drops at night.
