Grand Rapids is The second largest city in Michigan and is located on the west side of the state. It is thirty miles from the coast of Lake Michigan, making it an ideal location for experiencing all four seasons. Grand Rapids is known as “Beer City” as it is a center for breweries that specialize in all manner of craft beer. It is a great place to raise children. Grand Rapids is also home to the internationally known Artprize competition, which is held annually, Where public participation and votes determine the winners.

Grand Rapids is a growing city with a tight real estate market. Anyone moving to the area should be prepared to compete with multiple buyers for homes and pay more than the listed price. Despite the competition housing still remains affordable, and the city is still a great place to raise a family.

The city also contains access to a variety of art, culture, and food options.
