Is Buda, Texas a good place to live? How is the quality of life?

The biggest issue with living in Buda is commute time. If you’re moving to Buda, you’re probably doing so because you got a job in Austin. On maps, Buda seems fairly close to downtown Austin, and it is, assuming you only count physical distance. However, once you factor in the Austin rush hour, what would otherwise have been a 20-minute commute can quickly balloon to an hour. Thus, it’s important to keep in mind that Buda is a great town if you work odd hours or remotely, but if you’re planning to work a traditional 9-5 job, you’d better be prepared to spend an hour and a half to two hours in traffic every workday.
