If you are coming to Wilmington, Delaware, the main thing you should know is that the weather could be random. It could be hot one day and then cold and rainy the next. There are also many different terrains from cities to woods and parks (that were once amusement parks), to explore!
Wilmington is a historic city in addition to being the corporate home of the DuPont Company. Visitors should try to see Hagley Museum, Rodney Square and the gorgeous Hotel DuPont. There are lovely areas in the Brandywine Valley to explore also, such as Longwood Gardens.
A new arrival to Wilmington should know everyone knows everyone else! To become established here, one must patiently gain acceptance in a pre-existing social group, as it is quite impossible to forge one’s own. Beyond that, I recommend taking advantage of all the wonderful parks and other attractions. The state is replete with hidden gems.
