Fayetteville is a beautiful town with a rich history. It is home to the University of Arkansas, and it has a vibrant arts scene. It’s also full of great restaurants and friendly people. Though the pace of life picks up significantly when school is in session, it’s easy to find fun things to do throughout the year, especially for outdoor enthusiasts.
As someone who just moved to Fayetteville in October, I think it is important to share that this area of the state (northwest Arkansas) is known for its outdoor activities. Fishing, hiking, and running are among the many popular activities in this region. Since my family moved to this town, we have discovered over five running and bicycle trails.
Fayetteville is an eclectic city in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. The city itself is home to a large university, the University of Arkansas. This institution gives the city a small multicultural feel. Since it is a smaller town, the people remain very friendly and inviting to newcomers. Fayetteville is in the Natural State, meaning there are a variety of lakes, rivers, and mountains to visit when you want to explore the outdoors.
