Odessa is a booming oil town. Either the economy is good, or it’s not. There are a lot of workers here who come from across the country to find well-paying entry-level jobs in the oil field. That being said you should consider moving somewhere else if you’re not moving to Odessa to work in the gas and oil industry since the crime rate is so high. I know that if I got an opportunity to move away from here, I would.

The town I live in is known for the oil and gas industry and provides many families that live here with high-paying jobs. Even if your job is not directly related to the energy industry, it is still affected by the sudden changes in the price of oil. It is a great place to make money and live your dreams, but not the greatest place to raise a family.

The city that I live in maintains a high crime rate caused by an incredibly high population and limited available geographic area. The city is well-known for having a high market in the oil industry. It is not well known for raising a family in, but rather a location for lucrative jobs.
