Thessaloniki is in central Macedonia, Greece. It is decorated with beautiful medieval castles and ancient greek remains. Although in the past 100 years it has been transformed into a large westernized city, it has not lost its charm and appeal. Many traditional places remain the same as they have been for decades, giving the visitor a taste of times past. Taverns, places with live traditional music and local delicacies, still seem alluring to people from all over the world. One should not forget the Gulf of Thermaikos laying on the slopes of the mountain on which the city is built. Taking a short cruise while enjoying your drink on luxurious boats, gazing at the city lights during the night will be an unforgettable experience.

Someone moving to Thessaloniki should know how to appreciate the sun and the plethora of ancient monuments located here. they should be keen on eating delicious dishes and having loud conversations with friendly strangers. However, they should keep in mind that, although people in Thessaloniki might get easily upset, in the end, their kind heart predominates their temper.

Thessaloniki, Greece, is a marvelous student city, with many cafes and nightclubs scattering the streets. The public transportation can be a bit hectic, but buses are regular and provide an easy way to get around.
