Gilroy is a great multicultural community in the southern region of the Bay Area. The weather can be triple digits one day and 50 degrees with cloud cover the next. Gilroy is the garlic capital of the world. There are multiple new home developments going up all over the city allowing for new potential residents to really choose where they would like to live, closer to the city, closer to the hills, more of a residential area etc.

When moving to Gilroy, you must be completely sure that you love garlic. Not just the taste of garlic, but the smell of it because every morning during harvest season you will smell nothing but garlic. You must also be prepared for the rapid onslaught of garlic themed foods that will be thrown at you.
