Enterprise is a quiet and friendly place. The schools here are absolutely fantastic. In Enterprise there is a plethora of small shops and sites. It is very family friendly and well protected.
On March 1, 2007, Enterprise was struck by a devastating EF4 tornado, which trekked a destructive path through the heart of the city and its beloved high school, resulting in the death of 8 students and 1 local resident. The natural disaster made national news and created unparalleled scenes of havoc. Although tragic, such an event brought out the sincerest hospitality and goodwill of everyone in the community, who rebuilt the ravaged buildings, helped those affected to get back on their feet. The undoubtedly shaped what the city is today and effectively catalyzed its adoption of the city motto as the “city of progress.”
