Diversity and Racism in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

Oconomowoc is a wonderful city between Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin. The name is very unusual because it’s based on the Native American word for five lakes. As the name implies, Oconomowoc is a place where five lakes come together. Interestingly, Oconomowoc is one of the oldest cities in Wisconsin, likely because it was originally settled by Native American inhabitants long before European settlers arrived. Now, Oconomowoc is a thriving community that is likely to grow by at least 25 percent over the next five years. I highly recommend this community to anyone who wants easy access to Milwaukee, Chicago, an Madison, but wants to live in a beautiful, nature-filled setting.
