Does Muscat get rain? Snow? Hail? What's summer weather like? Here's what two local experts had to say about weather and precipitation in Muscat.

Be aware of the extreme heat associated with summer months here in Oman. It’s also quite a traditional city so they’ll need to dress conservatively and respect local customs. Public transport is still rather limited so having a car is a necessity. I very much enjoy living here.

Muscat is the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. In summer, the temperature can easily reach 48 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is limited and humidity is extremely high, especially during June and July. Just like the weather, the people are warm and hospitable.

The city is wedged between the calm waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Hajar Mountains. There are no high-rise buildings to spoil the magnificent views of the glorious landscape.
