Yenagoa is a small metropolitan area of about 250,000 people. Compared to other capital cities in Nigeria, my city experienced almost zero traffic jams and the air is relatively clean. If you want to live a simple rural lifestyle with all the benefits of city life then Yenagoa is the place for you.
Someone moving to Yenagoa should know the roads are quite narrow so you don’t need big cars (especially SUVs). Parking space is a huge challenge as well. The people are friendly and accomodating. You will also enjoy a lot of fresh fish pepper soup in the city. The city also has a beach which usually crowded during the weekends.
