On Packard Avenue there are many local businesses that support the economy of the community giving employment opportunities to everyone in the community. Cudahy is very close to the Airport General Mitchell of Milwaukee so you can see the airplanes in the sky flying everyday. During the day sometimes, the airplanes fly really low and the houses shake with the sound of the turbines. They block the sun when they are too high and make the houses lights very cloudy.
Cudahy has its own beach that connects to Lake Michigan. Here people can swim during the summer. In winter the lake gets frozen and people can skate on the ice or make holes on the ice to fish. There is a tradition called the Polar Bears that is when the people jump in the lake when it’s all frozen. People are very kind in Cudahy, everyone is helpful and united. Bikers can feel safe riding their bikes on the streets because the Oak Leaf is a biking trail that runs all through Cudahy.
