Edwardsville is a city with about 20,000 residents in southern Illinois. It has a historic downtown with parks and businesses and newer subdivisions. Also, Historic Route 66 goes through the city. There is also a university called Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, or SIUE, with 14,000 students. Even though the city is large, it maintains a small-town feel; it’s not uncommon to see tractors driving through the streets and holding up traffic.
