Midland is a beautiful rural town, on the shores of Georgian Bay. In true cottage country style, our population at least triples during summer. We also host the largest butter tart festival every summer, which draws in close to 40,000 people. winter is also a big draw for visitors, as there are many popular snowmobiling trails in the area.

For someone moving here, Midland, they should know it’s a very small town with a population of less than 50,000 people in it. It’s filled with cute little shops, and the waterfront would have to be the prettiest sight ever to see. I’d say most of our population comes from tourists generally.

Midland is a very small town with a population of less than 50,000. There isn’t a whole lot to do here, other than shop and meet up with friends. Don’t get me wrong, it’s small but it’s also known as ‘Cottage Country’ due to all of the tourists.
