The city of Meridian is insignificant to most people. Despite a few mentionable footnotes in its history, including being the birthplace of Jimmie Rodgers and the host of the James Chaney murder trial, the Mississippi town would not be described as important. Meridian, while not a large city, has a varied selection of entertainment, eateries, and public spaces that create a lively atmosphere. MSU Riley Center is a performing arts theatre.

Anyone moving to Meridian should know the rent tends to be high, especially near the center of town. They should also be aware that the violent crime rate is higher than average for a city of this size. There is not much to do here for amusement, and the majority of employment in this town is based on service jobs and the hospitality industry.
