Everyone is close in the pueblo. This also means that so many people are willing to help with any troubles that are encountered. The pueblo has a lively culture. The culture of the town can be seen through food and sports. Foods such as Mole Negro and Tlayudas are favorites. Imagine a huge crunchy tortilla with refried beans spread on top of it, cheese, pork, lettuce, and onions on top of it. That’s a Tlayuda, and it’s a traditional Oaxacan cuisine.
During the soccer season, the televisions throughout the pueblo are watching soccer games. When the team everyone is hoping to win scores a goal, the streets are filled with enthusiastic screams and chants. Most restaurants are small, with at most four tables to seat people, but on game day, those four tables seem to fit more people than thought possible.
