Skikda is one of the Algerian cities on the east side of the Algerian coast. Therefore, it has many important tourist beaches, with its port ranked second in terms of economic resource at the level of Algeria. Skikda was established on the banks of the Zarmana River, and it is also sandwiched between the Bouali hills on the west side, and the Skikda hills known as Bouakaz and on the east side, knowing that the part or the larger area of the city is still buried and not clear until now, specifically that was built in the Phoenician and Roman eras. The city is known in the Phoenician language as Rosicada.
Skikda is in Algeria. It’s the capital of east Region with a population of around 800,000. It’s at 2200 meters above sea level. Therefore, the weather is cold in winter, but it is comfortable during the year. There are many wonderful things you can do and see in the city. Festivals are organized in summer, such as Skikda Festival and Al Sooda Festival. There is a lake next to Skikda Palace Hotel. In the center of the city, there is a nice mountain called the Green Mountain. It overlooks the city. There are also two amusement parks, Al Salam Park and Delamon Land.
