Chandigarh is known, for its greenery. It was the first planned city of independent India, made lovingly with contributions from Indian and French architects alike, and it shows. There are parks and gardens sprawled out in every sector, and a marvelous artificial lake adjoining a vast forest trail. It is quaint but has all the amenities anyone could desire. In the age of global warming it is a cleaner and greener city.

In India, Chandigarh has been designated as- ‘a city beautiful’. As the name suggests, it beauty lies within the sectors, which are well organized. Apart from the organized sectors, Chandigarh has beautiful parks, Rock garden (made out of waste by Late Sh. Nek Chand), Sukhna Lake, Rose garden, doll museum… etc. One should visit Chandigarh once in his/her lifetime.
