It is a place which was once a princely state. It consists of Jagatjit Palace, built by the city ruler. Nowadays, it’s a place offering healthy and flexible lifestyle with good earning opportunities. Good medical facilities are cherry on the top. Its ancient buildings are picturesque as its beauty remains unspoiled since last decades. a beautiful and remarkably peaceful place.
Kapurthala city is known as the city of palaces because there are many historical buildings and places built during the ruling period of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh. There are beautiful parks and thick vegetation around the city. The most lively place in this city is the Mall Road where many people come to relax and enjoy the beautiful evening.
Kapurthala is the city of Maharajas. There are plethora of historical monuments here. A famous place, known as Kanjli wetland is also situated in Kapurthala. Some other historical buildings are such as – Moorish Mosque, Sainik School, Shalimar Bagh etc. Some of the famous restaurants are- Pankaj Fast food, Oberoi, Golden juice bar. Pooja vaishno Dhaba is famous for its Punjabi rasoi (Sarso ka Saag, Makki ki Roti, Lassi) where we can have the taste of whole Punjab on a single table.
