Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, is famous for its beauty, its historical significance, its being the home for three of the major religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity), and its cultural diversity. However, it is unfortunately involved in a long-standing conflict with Palestine.

Deborah, says: 2020

Jerusalem is an intense city where numerous cultures and religions converge. There is a charged energy that is both magnetic and overwhelming. Millions of visitors descend on this city each year, and it is not entirely unusual to find archaeological ruins beside a bustling gastropub. The shuk, Jerusalem’s open-air market, has recently become an incredible nightlife hub, where fabulous bars and restaurants take the place of produce stalls when night descends.

Someone moving to Jerusalem should know the beautiful city combines an ancient look with one that is modern. There are areas with old marketplaces and stone walls that will make you feel that you live in a different time, and then down the street you will see brand new buildings and businesses that will make you feel like you are in an innovative tech center. It is also important to note the vast diversity of the city, with people from many walks of life living together.
