Burlington is a multi-faceted city that offers both a rich Southern history and all of the conveniences of a progressive, growing community. After many of the industrial powerhouses left Burlington in the 1950s, the city is now seeing a new influx of companies moving to the area. An example of this is Lidl, which recently constructed a warehouse in the area that will serve multiple counties. On top of the career opportunities presented by moving to Burlington, it also provides the warmth of a tight-knit community, largely because of our millennial mayor, Ian Baltutis.
Burlington is in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. It is home to the corporate headquarters of LabCorp. Burlington is a small city with a population of around 50,000. It is fairly densely populated, and traffic is moderately heavy, especially during peak times of the day and in the western half. It was the birthplace of Burlington Industries and had a long history of textile manufacturing.
