One comment on “Gouda”

When moving to Gouda, it’s worth considering that it’s a city with a lot of history and very popular during tourist season, so it can become difficult to park in the summertime, should you wish to travel into the centre by car. It is also surrounded by “Grachts”, which are small canal circling the city in rings, so there are lots of bridges. It is best known for its cheese, and there are a lot of cheese stalls on the Saturday market, but it is cheaper to buy cheese in the local supermarkets as you’ll get more for your money. It is also easier to travel round the city by bicycle as the cost of parking is extremely high – as are the fines for forgetting to pay too.
