Gimli is a small town approximately 60 miles north of Winnipeg, with approximately 3,000 citizens during winter. The town comes to life during summer time, and attracts many visitors from across Canada, due to the magnificent location on Lake Winnipeg. Gimli has a beautiful sandy beach for all to enjoy, and many restaurants with the opportunity to taste the most amazing famous pickerel, a fresh water fish from Lake Winnipeg itself!
