Boulder is a beautiful town of about 100,000 citizens, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. The city is vibrant with students who attend the University of Colorado, and top scientists in the fields of aerospace, climate studies, and medicine. The proximity to the mountains and the great weather allow access to the outdoors most days of the year for people who enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing, among other sports. For those interested in the arts, Boulder hosts the Colorado Music Festival every summer at the Chautauqua auditorium, and brings world-renowned musicians regularly to Macky Hall on the CU campus.
