As we are a diverse country, racially and culturally, it is not uncommon for people to celebrate holidays not specific to their race or culture. Selling gum is not permitted here, as well as, fornication between men.

With the help of urban planning, our different cultures have been brought together under one roof in what we call “Hawker Centres” and it is in these places where one can find a wide range of food.

Singapore is also very well-known for its diverse cultures and food. One fruit that ought not to be missed is the durian, which can be off-putting for some but a luxury for others.
