Should someone move to Barrie, Ontario, they should know about the odd layout. Typically, “downtown” of a city happens to be in or around the southernmost region of the city. However, Barrie’s downtown happens to actually be in the middle of the city. This region of the city is also referred to as “lakefront”, in reference to the part of Lake Simcoe bordering it.

Barrie offers intriguing possibilities for anyone looking to relocate. A city with many families, it has considerable amenities for all seasons. Explore the beaches and downtown patios during summer, with many craft beer options or delectable treats to tickle your taste buds. During winter you’ll find numerous hockey arenas, one of the best Winter Festivals around, and a whole host of museums to discover. On a major highway and rail line, Barrie also offers multiple easy-to-access options for commuting to Toronto, whether for work or pleasure.
