Charlottetown is a bustling small city located on the east coast of Canada, the capital of the province of Prince Edward Island. Charlottetown is known as a culinary destination, as the area is known for world class seafood. Locally caught lobster, mussels, and oysters are found on many menus across the city. Charlottetown has four distinct seasons, with warm summers and cold snowy winters.
If somebody moves to Charlottetown groceries are more expensive than in the rest of the country. They should also know that winters are long but not as cold as in the rest of the country, aside from British Columbia. The most important thing to know is that access to health care is inadequate and it is common to have to travel off-Island to receive treatment.
