Are there taxis in Catania? What about scooters? What are the public transportation options? Here's what two local experts had to say about transportation methods in Catania, Sicily.

In the summer the feelings and the natural environment are one of the best in the world. On the volcano Etna there are natural routes that allow you to see natural sky views. During the summer, there are a lot of Italian tourists that come for vacation. Out of 10 tourists 8, are Italian. There are a lot of luxurious hotels, with unique sky views, much appreciated by the tourists. There are a lot of things that don’t make sense and need to be fixed, like the economy.

HELPFUL REPORT

If considering coming to Catania, I recommend you have adequate travel plans immediately after you arrive. The roads are chaotic, the public transport systems are confusing, and at times, the sidewalk completely disappears. Walking and driving can both be dangerous here, so always be careful. People from Sicily will always tell you, “The only rule for driving is to always be watching. “
