Winnipeg gets really cold in winter and can be very hot in summer. You might even enjoy strolling along the Red River during your visit to The Forks. I enjoy the zoo because of all the animals, especially the Red Panda exhibit. The friendly people in my city will make the move worthwhile.

Winnipeg is a fabulous city. It has a relatively low cost of living and has all of the benefits of living in a city without some of the drawbacks. There are plenty of opportunities for entertainment, NHL hockey, live theatre and music together with The Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Winnipeg has plenty of scenic views along two rivers and lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy time with friends and family.

Residents of Winnipeg have a love-hate relationship with the city. It is too cold in winter, too hot in summer, and the public transit system is awful. At the same time, Winnipeg is a hotbed for culture, hosting countless festivals, concerts, and sporting events throughout the year. It feels like both a bustling metropolitan city and a small-prairie town where everyone knows each other simultaneously.

We have very cold winter and extremely hot summers. It would be important to consider that you will like long winters and short summers. One of the highlights of Winnipeg is a two week long multicultural festival called Folklorama. Many countries around the world are represented with dancing and delicious food. The people in are very friendly.

Someone moving to Winnipeg should be prepared for cold weather. Winnipeg has a very volatile environment both when it comes to weather and culture. The city also has beautiful green space and two rivers that run within the city limits. There is a good school system, numerous dining options, and extremely friendly people.
