Things To Do in Waterford, Michigan

Waterford Township is in central Oakland County, Michigan. It is so named for the 34 lakes, which equal 11.22% of Waterford’s total land area. There are many parks in Waterford, often in conjunction with the lakes, to explore and enjoy. Being north of Detroit with a slightly higher elevation, Waterford enjoys cold winters, and summers that can get up into the ninety degree range.
I would advise anyone moving to Waterford to choose an area to the North (near Clarkston). There are several nice neighborhoods to choose from and they are well maintained and family friendly. Waterford also has a very nice Library with various activities for the kids. There is also a great Senior Center.
