Grahamstown is nice and quiet with very little traffic and only a 45 minute drive to the beach. The airport is a 1 hour 45 minute drive away. We have the National Arts Festival in July each year.

The unpredictable weather of my town and how surprising it can be. Additionally, the level of quality education Rhodes university provides, since it is a small private-like institution filled with experienced staff and natural scenery for your relaxation. People moving to the town have to also know that we have the national english museum. Grahamstown is a town that is of historic significance.

Grahamstown is a quaint little town. It is often referred to as a town for the elderly. Although during the semester, it is buzzing with the noise of students’ merry-making, it is generally a quiet town. There are not too many day time activities that one should look forwards to, but there are however, a number of cozy cafes that serve tasty baked goods!

Grahamstown has water supply problems, water is very scarce and when it is available it is not safe for consumption as it contains chemicals that even change it from clear to white. It is a small beautiful community though even with the water problems. It is great for adventurous people as it has mountains, botanical gardens and more adrenaline fueling activities.

Grahamstown is famous for its national arts festival, it is one of the biggest festivals in South Africa. We also have Rhodes University which is known for its record of releasing top notch students. There are lots of different school with high quality education in Grahamstown, boys schools, girls school and mixed gender school you can choose which one suits you.

The weather in Grahamstown can change four times in one day. The National Arts festival takes place in Grahamstown annually in July and attracts people from all over the country. The nearest metropolitan city (and airport) is Port Elizabeth which is 90 minutes away. Grahamstown is also known as the city of saints with its large number of churches.

Grahamstown is a fairly small and quiet town, with very few activities on offer for younger visitors. It is what is a university town and is usually crawling with students during the semester, but often a ghost-town during the holiday. There are quite a few restaurants and pubs that one could visit during their down time.
