Despite being rich in history and being the county seat, outsiders have negative expectations and views of how people live and behave in Elizabeth. The city has always been divided by socioeconomics despite efforts to make it equitable. Each neighborhood has a majority of its residents that are bound by their culture. As you travel around Elizabeth you will notice that many ethnicities are represented by the languages you hear, the signs that are posted, restaurants, stores, and social clubs. For example, there is the Italian section, the Columbian section, the Portuguese section, the Jewish section etc. Elizabeth is a true melting pot.

The city that I live in is in a very urban environment. It has a great history having been established in 1664. The city also has a fantastic nightlife with many clubs, bars, and restaurants remaining open late into the night. Not many people would say that they adore this area, but once a person has lived in Elizabeth for a while, they could grow to love it.

Someone who is or has been moving to Elizabeth, should know our city is quite robust. It provides one with a mix of cultures and identities found rarely through the state. From sprawling city life, to beautiful green and lush parks. Our city offers a lot that you won’t find anywhere else.

Elizabeth has the best wing spot in town. It’s called Terminal One. It is a simple sports bar nothing fancy but it has the best wings around. It is well known by the employees of United who work at the nearby Newark Liberty International Airport. You can order as many pieces as you desire and share it with your friends while drinking the night away.
